However, it sheds light on the importance of sustaining yourself without the help of society. In extreme but real situations such as, if a flood took out the water lines to your home, would you be able to to drink clean water and for how long? If the power lines in your neighborhood were knocked down, could you stay warm in the house with no heat? If a mass panic looted all grocery stores, could you feed your family?
